People always tell me, 'You're always smiling, you're always smiling,' and two, three years ago, you never would have seen that out of me at all.
Kaylee
Kaylee received a full arch fixed implant solution at Bluegrass Dentistry, transforming her smile and restoring her confidence after years of dental anxiety and discomfort. Dr. Chambers chose this life-changing approach over dentures, recognizing Kaylee’s youth and potential. Today, she’s smiling freely, pursuing new opportunities, and feeling grateful for the support she received.
Kaylee: I see a girl who did not want to smile at all. I didn’t want to make any friends, I didn’t want to talk to anybody. I just didn’t want to get out of bed. I didn’t want to go to work. I quit one of my jobs because of my teeth because I was in food service, and people would like to make fun of me for my teeth whenever we were running behind. It put a lot of mental damage on me, and I am very grateful for where I am at now.
Dr. Seth Chambers: When Tracy came back and told me that she had an 18-year-old and a consult who had broken off teeth, severe infection, abscesses, chronic pain, I immediately reviewed the scans and saw that her current dentition was hopeless. Tracy told me that they had already gone through the finances of this treatment, and she could afford an upper denture and a lower locator denture.
Honestly, when I saw that you were going to do a denture and a locator, I was like, “I just cannot sleep at night.” Putting you into that scenario, you’re too young, you’re too beautiful, and you have so much of your life ahead of you, that I just can’t do that, and so I wanted to give this to you. I wanted to see that transformation in your smile and in your life.
Kaylee: The first thing I realized when I got pulled for my scans and stuff, everybody was very sweet. The other places that I went to, they would be talking and saying, “This is not going to be cheap.” I’m very uncomfortable in certain places, and I’ve always been scared of the dentist’s office. When I was younger, I never wanted to go. When I came here, everybody made me feel welcomed. Talking to Tracy about financial stuff, that made me very comfortable, and to have my dad, which he’s a little bit strict and stuff, and he’s very uptight, he looked comfortable. I could tell that this place was a very great option, and it was going to help me in the long run.
Dr. Chambers: To change her life and through this process of changing a lot of people’s lives, it gives me the opportunity to do things that other people might not be able to do or to take a risk or to just do what’s right, and so I wanted to put her in a fixed implant solution. That’s what I did.
You didn’t go to school because of where you were, right, and your smile, you know how that made you feel. Eliminating that from your life was my ultimate goal. To see you going into your finals and to get that part of your life back, I know you’ve been waiting for that moment, too. That makes me really happy. Hopefully, we knock it out of the park for you.
Hey, I’ll take crying. It means you’re excited and you’re happy.
Kaylee: A smile to me means being confident, finding yourself, just being comfortable, too. I think that it takes a lot for a person that is not comfortable to come out. People always tell me, “You’re always smiling, you’re always smiling,” and two, three years ago, you never would have seen that out of me at all.
Dr. Chambers: I remember seeing her at one of her post-op visits, and I didn’t even know it was her. The way It changed her entire appearance and who she was, it was almost unrecognizable. I was like, “Oh, that’s Kaylee. That’s her.” When I saw her smile and I walked into the op, my eyes started to tear up.
Are you ready?
Kaylee: Oh, my gosh! They do look super good. I don’t want to cry. I’m not. They do. I can’t cry right now.
Staff: You absolutely can.
Dr. Chambers: Yeah, you can.
Kaylee: Cannot.
I’m this big, free, open person that loves to speak to people and looking at more life opportunities and more jobs and maybe getting a degree or going into psychology. It has changed my life completely. Me, as a person, that just makes me feel lucky and very grateful because I have these wonderful and beautiful people behind my back that will always support me and care about me.
